I have the 2016 Cosmic Blue Pearl on my Street Glide Special...Has anyone seen this paint scheme next to the Daytona Blue Pearl? I am curious how close they are in color match. I have been trying to find the Blue Pearl at bike runs so I can see how close it matches my bike. Reason for the question is I want to get the color matched lower fairing kit for my new bike and HD wants $714.00 for the factory color matched set. Advan has the Blue Pearl for a fraction of the cost. I asked Advan if they had the Cosmic Blue Pearl yet and they said they don't know if or when it will be available.

 

I ordered the Charcoal Pearl lowers for my '15 and the were a perfect match. Ordered thru Boardtracker for 20% less then HD dealers. Might consider that as an option to get an exact match for a few bucks more.

 

When right next to each other they're not even close in color. The shade of blue is very different and the flake is heavier in cosmic blue. May not notice it going down the road, but significant on a parked bike.

 

Cosmic Blue is quite a bit darker than Daytona Blue. Wouldn't even be a close match.

I have a 2014 in DBP, even HD will not get it perfect. I bought a set of lowers since there are very few places that have parts in this color, and some of the "factory" parts didn't match. Having said that, the amount they didn't match was very slight, but you can see a difference.

I recently traded SGS for RGS in Cosmic Blue pearl (great color) I repainted my lowers with paint I bought from VMR paints. The kit included base coat, mid coat and reducer cost around 250$ The match was perfect. I do own a body shop so painting it was no problem
