From my measurements comparing my 2014 Police bike to my 2004 Electra Glide Classic, pretty much exactly the same. Of course it would depend on the existing seat you have because different seats can move you forward, back, and up and down already. I think most people's opinion seems to be that it is about 1 inch taller. Like I said though, mine is the same as my other EG.

 

Agree with te statement on it depend solely what seat your coming from, but it will raise you up 2-3"from the stock RG/SG seat or 1-2" from a stock ultra seat. Most people told me that it moves you forward, but I disagree with that as it moved back about 1/2", as I had to move the rider backrest bracket back to make it work.

 

I tried a cop seat but found it set me up a lot more and was not a comfortable riding position. The seat was comfortable but I didn't try it with the windshield on so it might be good when traveling. That's the only time I have my windshield on.

 

I'm 5-10 1/5, with 32" inseam and my 2016 Electra Glide police with the cop seat sat me up a little higher than I liked. I put a sundowner seat, that I had on my '11 road king, on the police bike and I like the seating position a lot better. My measurement showed over a 2 inch difference in height. I didn't notice much forward/aft diff.
However, the cop seat definitely gave a nicer ride and fit my butt a lot better. I'm thinking after the riding season is over, for an off season project, I'm giving it another try with 10 or 12" mini apes and maybe a lowering kit. And a utopia back rest.
I think the cop seat is hard to beat for comfort.
