Unfortunately, I chose the one without that option, hence my decision to send in my stocker for rework.

Got my Mustang solo back, and wow! What a difference. No more back ache, and much more comfortable. If I were to give any advice, however, I'd go with the backrest model. While comfortable, I wish I had a choice.

Thanks for the very honest write up Baffling I am also looking at the Wide Tripper, and comfort is a big part of the purchase. I picked up a 2012 HD Ultra touring seat for little money a few weeks back to make the better half happy. And she loves it, but it is huge for a bagger I guess I need to decide how far I plan on riding with the solo seat. Does anyone know what a comfortable solo seat would be? The Mustang sure does look great

If you don't mind my asking, what'd the MCC work set you back?

I'm also going to send them my stock seat to have memory foam installed, along with a custom skin upgrade.
Did you also have any memory foam added?

Mustang uses very good, dense foam. You really don't need it.

Love my Mustang solo, but it's gotten ripped somehow. Going to have a local upholstery shop recover it, and maybe add a little memory foam,, also have them do the wife's pillion,

Quality feel of Mustang Seats is awesome. I always had them on my metrics.

But it didnt work for me on the RK. I tried 2 different models of the Mustangs.
I need some back support but do not want back rests and the back of the Mustang was too swishy for me much like HD seats.
Also depending on the seat, they sometimes take away from the passanger, being just about 6' I also needed room.

I ended up with Saddlemen Ultimate Comfort, its a bit higher, looks a little like a sofa but it works perfect for my wife and I. Quality is ok, more so for the price, but without question I always liked the feel of the Mustang, just didnt work in my case. I was surprised. I actually tried 5 seats on the bike when I first bought it in the first 5 weeks, that was almost 2 years ago and the Saddlemen is still the seat for us.
