Default Front end rebuild

I've come up to the 50000 mile mark on my 14 Street Glide the manual states the the front end needs to be disassembled and inspected and parts replaced as needed. Is this really required everything works fine there's no oil leaking, seals ect. I'm not about to tear it apart or pay the dealer to do this. I'm thinking that I'll just change the fork oil and be done with it. Any suggestions otherwise.

I would do a fork oil change and a good looking over. If you feel comfortable with how things look, you're good to go. The moco wants you in their stores as often as possible.

Have them do a swing test on the front end. They can tell if there are any issues with the neck bearing that way.

It's a pretty simple job as long as you have the 19mm Allen socket & 12mm long Allen socket. I've had mine apart several times already. Maybe upgrade the front suspension while you've got it apart?

Yeah, I would definitely do a fluid change. I changed mine out to the HD fluid and like the results.

But when you do that, you have to remove the fork legs anyway, so taking them apart doesn't add that much time. Would I know what to look for? Maybe not. I guess I would just do an inspection and look for something obvious.

What is this HD fork fluid? I read this in another post of yours but I am not sure if HD means Heavy Duty or Harley Davidson....or neither.
