Default The 103....

I understand the M8 is the newest coolest motor, but I just got back from a ride on my RK and I have to say that the HO 103 is a great motor. Starts right up, sounds good, nice rumble and shake....and above 2000 RPM smooths out like silk. Guess I'm old fashioned.

I thought the HO 103 was on the touring bikes only.

I agree and mines paid for. I heard the new one run and not much rumble.

I agree with the 103 - like my Ultra. Not ready for the 107 yet.

I feel the same way. We took a trip down to Maggie Valley from northern Ohio late August 2 up and loaded down in the mountains. The king performed flawlessly. With a full exhaust, filter and tune it pulls pretty well. I may put cams in it when the warranty is up but it's really not needed.

I went to the dealership the other day and looked over the M8 and spoke with a salesman. I do like the M8 from what I saw, but am also very happy with my 103 and plan on keeping it another 2-3 years.

Nope. As of '16 they were standard on Dynas (less Street Bob) and Softails too.

(Except the S models with 110's, of course)

From Pan Heads to Shovels (boy were we excited when they replaced the 74 with an 80) And a twin cam, WOW. I run them till they are done (I have over 100K on the WG) I love the 103 like all of them and when it's done I look forward to the 107. They sound great to me. By then I am sure they will have all the bugs worked out.
