Yea really interested in these... Uppers/lowers (with 6x9 cutouts) painted, stripped for $918... I mean if the paint quality is good you can't beat the price.
No pinstripes on the lowers. Pinstripes for Black Quartz were not available on the stretched bags when I ordered the lowers - otherwise I'd have ordered them too.
Mine is pretty bad @Hotwire it takes a lot of force to get the rear to line up and lock the 1/4 turn Dzuz fastener. I have tried everything with little luck. Not too happy with the end result. If you find a better solution, let the rest of us know.
I just got mine today. Im having the same issue. once you get the shim in there does it still line up with the mounting holes for the quick release?
Sorry, still a NOOB here...
Mine is pretty bad... it takes a lot of force to get the rear to line up and lock the 1/4 turn Dzuz fastener. I have tried everything aside from serious modifications to the bag rails. No luck. What concerns me the most is the stress being placed on the bag once I've muscled it in to place. It's a matter of time before the right temperature and a bumpy road may cause a problem.
HogWorkz wasn't very helpful and only offered suggestions on how to fix it when I should have just sent them back - they should be offering a product that isn't defective. Not too happy with the end result.

Have you guys tried loosening your exhaust mount by the tranny, and using something to hold the exhaust pushed inboard a little while you re tighten it? I bet that would get you the small amount needed.
Not a bad idea but the problem isn't the entire length of the muffler, it's only the last inch or so (posting photos here).

Sunny day makes all the difference. Most pics our bikes look vivid black. In the nice sunlight that flake jumps out. Some times it's almost a root beer color.
