NBK, That's kinda what I ended up doing, cept I got an extra set of the rubber pieces that attach to the bottom of the bag. Cut it down the middle and slid it behind the one attached to the bag.
Same result I think just different way to do it.

Nice! Glad to hear it worked out TB589. So you installed the bags as is then manhandled the bag and added the shim between the stock rubber grommet at the bag to gain the clearance you needed? Are you also using V&H OS450 mufflers? Is install with the Dzeus fasteners an issue or do they twist/snap right into place?
I tried their recommendation and though it worked, it seems to jack the *** end up a little and now the bag isn't inline with the muffler as much. I am going to try something similar once I hear back.
No I slid the piece in before putting the bag on, moved it out just enough to match the right side.
I'm running V&H High output slip ons. I think they're 4.5"
Hope this helps.
Sam, I ordered the extended bags from you the other day. I got the ones uncut so there is no exhaust cutout. I see you offer the fender extensions for the earlier model bikes. Do you have the fender extension for the 2014 that matches the uncut extended bags ? Thanks

I just got mine today. Im having the same issue. once you get the shim in there does it still line up with the mounting holes for the quick release?
Have you guys tried loosening your exhaust mount by the tranny, and using something to hold the exhaust pushed inboard a little while you re tighten it? I bet that would get you the small amount needed.
