Sunny day makes all the difference. Most pics our bikes look vivid black. In the nice sunlight that flake jumps out. Some times it's almost a root beer color.
So how's the paint quality on the ADVAN BLACK products??? That's the big question.
Just decent?
Good?
Great?
Appears Factory?
I'd call it "great". ALMOST appears factory. I think I'm the only one that notices a difference in the paint color from the factory color. No orange peel, no puckers, no runners.
A couple things I'm NOT crazy about...
- The textured hard plastic inner; there's GOT to be a better way...
- The glove box doors - they have cheep clasps. Like REALLY cheap. And they don't operate exceptionally well
I go back and forth a little bit... half the time, I'm glad I saved the buckos. The other half the time, I wish I'd have just sprung for the HD ones.
ONman,
So there is a difference in color? I'm Vivid Black, surely they can match that.
And I'm hearing i should by the HD hardware to be happy.
And the inside???? got any Pics?

a VERY VERY subtle difference in shade, IN THE SUNLIGHT, with "black quartz". So subtle, it may be my imagination (but I don't think so).
As to HD hardware... depends on how particular you are. I am pretty darned particular about most things on my HD, and this ALMOST meets my standards...

YMMV.
Appreciate the honesty in that statement.
Sometimes we tend to defend a decision that we know wasn't the best option so as to save face.
I'm extremely particular about my bike. If the color.was off even just the slightest I'm done. It's gone.
I have the Factory lowers. Got them 20% off when I bought the bike. I just had the cowbells color matched the black quartz. 200 bucks. Expensive? Yup. Dead on match? Yup. Bonus being it's done once. And done right.
I think for what these cost. You're risking those small issues. And for the price? Well. We all know the "get what ya pay for"
I hope everyone that gets these has the best luck with them. I'm on the fence still about the stretched bags. They have to be striped and has to match the lines.
But I dropped 4k in add ons this winter. I'm done. (For now)
