Default sound perplexed

Hello Everyone. I just purchased a 2014 FLHXS. As we all know the stock audio system has much to be desired. For the first time this evening when I shut the engine off, the sound of the music was noticeably different(better sound and quality) than when the engine is running( very tinny). When I had the bike inspected earlier this week, the dealer updated the software. Anybody else experience this? reason why? any fixes. Thanks

Yes, that is what they all do.
No, there is no fix. It is by design. Don't know why though.

What version did he update to? HD introduced a new update this week, 1.20.1, that might be the difference. If that's it then that's good to know...

EDIT-after reading Rollamo's post I'm confused, are you happy with the change or griping about the "tinny" sound? Maybe I misunderstood...

It's just the noisy top end drowning the music out.

It is just that they have a different sound when the engine is not running, compared to when the engine is running.

Haven't you noticed it? It has been mentioned many times on the forum.

I've noticed that parked in the garage with just the radio on it sounds pretty good and with the motor running what I hear is mostly motor. But isn't that to be expected? I couldn't gauge quality of the system with the motor off and then on, apples to oranges I would think. And I've honestly never seen this mentioned on the forum...not a big deal anyway, I just didn't understand what the OP was getting at, now I'll listen a little harder.
