i was told today that if you already have a race tuner the dealers will keep tuning them as HD does not control the dyno software they use to tune them
Even without the tuner, a good non-HD dyno guy can easily put in a tune that is better than stock - they can fine these company's that make tuners but it will never stop people from over-riding the crap factory tune...

Talking with a couple of the dealers in DFW, they are offering to buy back the SERT at today's price. As far as dyno goes, they will only tune to the street tune is the answer I got.
One of the techs I spoke with said that HD will threaten to take away their franchise if they tune outside of 50 state. As we all know, the techs are always right too.

How exactly do you propose the "non-HD dyno guy" can "over-ride the crap factory tune" without a tuner module made by someone??
You can get tuners no problem. Exhibit A: The EPA diesel crack downs. I can still get a tuner for my diesel if I want, just like I'm sure you will be too with the Harley. Now your warranty once it's flashed, that's another story...
