Either

1) Your coolant temp (red) light comes on (mine did) and check engine light came on (mine did)

or

2) You cant activate/feel the pump vibrating when you do the following:

- turn ignition to 'run' but do NOT start engine
- twist throttle 1/2 way for about 5 seconds - this will activate the fans AND the water pump - if they dont activate/vibrate, you probably have a problem

Have 21k on my 2014 Limited. Never had any temp or check engine lights come on. I have activated the fans before with said procedure but have never checked for a vibration of the pump. Will have to check this out.

If it wasn't working, you'd know.
