Default Windshield retainers

Was wondering how common is it to have the wellnuts or whatever they are called to come loose and fall into the fairing when changing out a windshield.
I have a 2015 RGS and am thinking of installing a windshield that would need me to remove the screws completely to do this and am trying to avoid any nightmares that could arise.
Thanks

Not sure about the 15 but my 16 doesn't have those crappy nuts. They are attached to the internal fairing so they won't fall like 13 and below.

It's more common for them to get cross threaded than come loose!

If your outer fairing doesn't line up very well you could strip them, but they won't just pop out. I've changed my windshield upwards of 40 times and alignment has been my only issue. I also loosen the outer screws on the inner fairing to help.
