I'm thinking of getting an 8" dark tint. Do you prefer the std Ultra or the Ultra Eliteq (poly-carbonate)?
LRS shows the Elite as Retailing higher$$, but they are on sale for less than the standard Ultra shields.
Ultra Elite is the better shield!

I haven't tried the KW but I have tried the Clearview and a variety of LRS Ultras (clear and tinted 8 - 10"). So far I have 6 different screens. I think the Clearview was good but it , and the KW, are pricey. The LRS Ultra is just as good or better than the Clearview and can be as low as 1/3 the cost (depending if you catch the LRS on sale). I'd suggest the 7" Ultra in Dark Tint. The LRS people are also really nice to deal with (actually so was Clearview)

Thanks I ordered the LRS 7" Ultra Dark tinted last week, on Monday, it was on sale at good price. It shipped USPS last Friday and is scheduled for delivery tomorrow (finally).
11 days from order date, and almost $19.00 for USPS seems too costly and way too slow getting here????
I've been using my OEM SGS shield for the last 10 days and I'm ready for a change. The wind gets pushed right into my sunglasses with the stocker. Sure hope the 7" is enough to get the wind to the top of my helmet.

Same here, first shield change for my SGS is a 7" Freedom Shield. Should be here today.
I'll comment back when I can.

Got the 7" Utra Elite on. 100 miles so far. Puts the air right at or just over the top of my helmet. Thanks everyone for the 7" advise! The 8" would have been overkill and I'd be looking through it more often then I do with the 7".
Not too sure it's better than my 6.5" KW was as far as air flow over the top of my helmet. But.... I really enjoy not seeing all the distortion that the KW design has built into it.

So I rode this morning with the 7" Freedom Shield for SG.
Wow, what a difference.

I'm wearing a Shuberth C3 Pro. With the stock SG shield I was getting buffeting about where my forehead is even with the helmet.
Now the wind is felt at the very top of the helmet no longer affecting my ride/comfort level.
Another observation, at slower speed I would flip the visor up for cooling and airflow. As my speed increased the visor would start to get caught in the buffeting.
With the 7" I'm not getting that so I can keep the visor up longer.

I'm 5'-10" (and getting shorter )

Any questions let me know..

FWIW i've notice much calmer air with the vent opened on the Batwing. Never close it for more than a couple of minutes.....not sure if it would make a difference if you get caught in the rain?
