FreedomShield. I've tried pretty much all the others and I like their product the best. It's a nice thick, strong shield with a polished upper edge, and zero distortion. I've got a 2014 SGS as well, and I find the 7" Freedomshield is perfect for my height of 5'11". I can see over it, but it gives great protection. I've got the dark tinted version and it looks awesome.

John is awesome to deal with too. He'll ship you the screen and as long as you don't take off the wrapping you can try it on your bike. If you don't like it, ship it back. But you'll like it.

Cheers

Ross

I too bought the klock werks 6.5 put it on, went for a ride and took it off. Now it's closet art with a few other parts.
I just don't like looking threw any windshield any taller then stock.
Everyone else likes them though.
Is it because of the distortion or fact you're looking through the windshield more?

Bodacious,
The LRS Ultra (slight recurve) 8" is 8.25 from center bolt to top, and the same shield at 10" is 10.25" from bolt to top. I'd assume the 9" then would follow suit, 9.25" bolt to top.
The dark tint is perfect to look thru, and no distortions. Great shields and with a special code, my 10" was only $52 delivered! Try it out, but leave on the film, and if you don't like it for any reason, they'll give you a refund or a different size! Great company & products!

I have put several shields on my 2016 SGS and found the LRS Ultra curve 7" medium tint best all around shield for me.If I am taking a long trip,I will put on the 8" Ultra curve medium tint shield for the most protection, but I am looking through the shield most of the time instead of over it.I am 6"1" with a stock seat.LRS shields have no distortion at all day or night.

The thing I dont like is the distortion in the Klock Werks. Normally I'm able to just look over the top but when glancing down thru the W/S it plays tricks with my vision. Especially when looking at the fog line thru it.
My question is this: what LRS would you experts suggest I replace the Klock Werks with? Height; Style; and I do like the dark tint with my Vivid SGS.
I had the same distortion complaint with the KW shield on my 14 SGS. Went with the lite tint 7" LRS and love it.

Freedom shield is all of it. It looks awesome, fits perfect, has 0 distortion, polished edges and is super sturdy because it's extra thick. It does a great job of shooting the wind over your head, I can wear a winter hat and it stays on at 80MPH I'm running a 9 inch on my CVO and probably could get away with an 8 I'm 5'11.5''.

Freedom gets my vote too. I am on a RG not a SG though. I tried three different shields and the Freedom was best for quality and performance.

Last question for those of you that like the LRS.
I'm thinking of getting an 8" dark tint. Do you prefer the std Ultra or the Ultra Elite (poly-carbonate)?
LRS shows the Elite as Retailing higher$$, but they are on sale for less than the standard Ultra shields.
