Default backrest

Just acquired a backrest for a 07 SG, will it fit my Rushmore ultra. Leaving on a 10 day trip soon and would like a little back support

Pull the seat off and see if the bracket holes line up with the bolt holes. Either way, get a backrest on there. Made a huge difference for me.

Backrest itself should fit, you would have to purchase a mount for under the seat to fit the newer bike.

I just installed the Mustang backrest off of my 06 RKC onto my 14 Limited. The two bolts line up perfectly, but the front mounts differently. Mustang sells a $20 conversion bracket but I was going on a trip the next day and wanted It on before then. I found it to be very stable and sturdy without the bracket. Don't even think I'm going to order it now, not needed.

just went through this, the front of the mount is different. i went to the ace and got a steel bracket 90 degree bolted it to the front of the backrest mount then drilled a hole for a bolt to hold it to the frame. harley just adds a bracket to the kit for 14^ but doesn't sell the bracket.
