Tour pack wired, problem now......
Alright, I simply wired the Brake Run Ground up where my Plasma rods are,, super simple, Red to Red, Black to Black, and Blue to Blue, Tested them with the pack off the bike, turned key on, checked, Side lights, brake and tails.! YAHOO! Put the whole bike back together, rode it to the front garage and saw, no tail lights???? Went to Back garage, got tools to remove seat again,, turned key on, had lights! Start motor, rear lights go out,,, watch video... is this an over voltage protection or something? Dealer is closed, I'll stop on the way to Illinois tomorrow, leaving at 4 am with or without tour pack lights! LOL

Any codes showing up? Do the lights go out if you just leave the key on without starting the bike? I think you might be right about the "over voltage protection". Are you running standard bulbs in the tour pak lights vs. LED bulbs that are used in the 14+ tour pak lights? I read that some people turn on the 4 way flashers and some how the bike adjusts for the extra lights but I have no personal experience doing this. Maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in. Good luck and enjoy your trip.

Not sure if this will help, but I had issues with my old bikes stop and turns, and found that doing a TSM Reset fixed my problem. It happened after I changed my rear light bar.
The reset procedure for non- canbus bikes is to Grab a handful of brake, turn on ignition, turn on left signal and let flash 4 times, turn off. Do the same with the right signal and then the 4 way flashers. When finished turn off ignition and release the brake. Wait 2 min. and start the bike.
Not sure if this works on our canbus systems, but its worth a try.

I used the little wires that had 1 going in and two coming out, this gave me brake and turn off the turn signals I guess? (Since the Red, Brake wire wasn't tapped into)
I have no codes, I checked last night. Headed out this morning now on an 840 mile trip to IL. I'll mess with it more up there,, the tail lamps do not go through those little converters or anything, it's a direct tap off the Blue wire to the plasma rods and the tour pack. PSWOMACK, is that what they were called? (Looked like the little firecrackers you pull the string on each end,, only bigger, LOL)

It was an overvoltage/amp problem. No codes, however the BCM does control all those things. (no light fuses) I changed out the bulbs in tour pack to some Advanceauto LED 1157's Not thrilled with the brightness, at least during the day but they're working now.
Er, sorry about my attire,, it was HOT that day!
