Default GPS route deletion

I don't know if I can explain this but here it goes. I'll put in a route, then after awhile I'll decide to go somewhere else without the help of the GPS. How do I delete the GPS route. I've tried everything, but the voice prompt keeps saying recalculating. I hate this but haven't figured out a way to delete the previous route or all previous routes, so I can listen to the audio sytem without interuptions from the GPS voice prompt.
Thanks Jonnierock

Push the (=) button on the right side of the map screen, a list will come up, first item on the list is "stop". Push that.

Any time you select a route and hit the "go" button, the GPS will stay on that route, even if you stop the bike and shut it off and restart it later, until you either reach your destination, OR you stop the route. If you go wandering off somewhere else without stopping the route, the lady will continue to try to find a way to your original destination.

tdkkart is correct. Plus, if you don't want to completely delete the route but simply cancel the guidance, hit the voice command and say, Cancel route

How does it hear you? We don't all have Ultra's with any type of comm on them, IF there is a mic for the regular SGS or RGS,, ?

But yes, it's surprisingly simple once you know, but I fidgeted with it for what seemed like forever the first time I used it,,,,

tdkkart's answer is the (easiest) way to do it. You can do it without pushing on the screen by using the joystick. But that, I guess, is a given.

On a side note: actually deleting a route is AFAIAC a true nuisance...

JimTJr - I believe you can get an upgrade to have the mic installed.

Click or touch the route you want to delete. On the right side between the up & down pointers is what looks like a pencil, click or touch that. Route will change to a window with several options, rename , add waypoint, push the down arrow until delete comes up, click or push delete will ask you if you want to delete, push Yes and trip is deleted.

Correct. And by the time you're done with you will have starved to death... or something like that.
