Default Great Forum Classified purchase, Tour Pak for my RGS

I need to know who's painted one, what pain code is, (seen links before) and what base primer is, (Grey, Rust?) etc... also how much, should a pint do it? or would you get a qt...?

Had a great ride from Goldsboro to Charlotte, well over 400 mile day, picked this up. Also my 4pt docking station needed "Adjusting" HD of Charlotte did it for free! Thanks guys! Great dealer....

Had a auto repair place here where i live paint my blackened cayenne rear fender and he matched it perfect and it looks factory so find a reputable auto shop and they'll be able to fix you up. Don't believe for a minute only HD can match your paint.

My son works at the local GM dealer here in the body shop. Graduated from Rankin Technical school top of his class. He painted my grill surround for my '11 F350 with the "White Platinum Metallic Tricoat" color, 500 dollar paint option on those,, beautiful "Pearl" look. I think he'll do fine for me! LOL. Figure I'll ask for it for Christmas when I know the wife won't be riding alot, and I won't be doing any trips. I do ride all year long here in NC though...

When I traded bikes it was cheaper to sell my Morocco Gold tour pak and buy a new from Harley velocity red tour pak. Of course that was getting paint from Harley.

I can't imagine more than a pint being needed

Go to eBay and do a search for Harley (your color name). You should find a few listings for your paint that you can buy by the pint, quart and gallon. My RKC is BrandyWine Sunglo and a pint is like $94. Not cheap, but that should be enough to do the tour pack.

Looks as if you have solved your own problem plus you can take pride in your son painting the tour pack for you. It will be a expensive Christmas gift for your son to give because paint, prep matls. and labor isn't cheap.
