New pads, brake noise
I put new rear pads on my '14 Limited yesterday. Everything went back together fine. I scuffed rotor with a scotch brite pad to clean it off. The new brakes stop great, good pedal feel, no pulsing. I used EBC organic pads. My problem is when I brake I get a funny noise from the back. The only way I can explain the noise is it sounds like a chorus of crickets at night when you walk outside. It's not loud but is noticeable. Any ideas?

FWIW,
I did a brake job on the cage last Fall.
I had noises simular to what you're saying.
I took the calipers off made sure everything checked out & looked good, reinstalled them and the noise was gone. No problems since.
I've been using EBC pads for as,long as I've been back riding
Never had any problems with them.

weird. I also have EBCs and after 4000 miles on them, I started to get a squeal out of the rear. I've blow them out repeatedly and still get it...usually when I'm rolling down the driveway slowly. The only thing that's changed is that it started when it became extremely humid here in Minnesota but it's very annoying and I'm also a bit puzzled.

Did you use pad glue on the back of the pads? When you buy pads from the dealer they come with a little template that you stick to the back of the pad, smear the glue on with a provided squeegee, then remove the template and it leaves the glue only where they want it to be. Then you install the pads.

Another EBC fan here. I'll be going with them when my OEM pads wear out.
I always use a little dab of dressing (brake pad grease) on the backing plates and they've always worked perfectly on all my bikes, past and present.
The rear brake on my '15 Limited has been noisy and pulsed slightly since day one. I just choose to ignore it and I figure that new pads won't be any worse, and maybe better, when replacement time comes.
