Default Question about variable heat in Hammock seat

I searched the forum but nothing came up for my question. I have the heated Hammock seat on my Road King and I'm not sure it is operating properly. When I had the heat on high during one particularly cold morning and it eventually got so hot I had to turn it to the low setting. I recently went out on a mild but not cold morning and thought a little heat would be nice so I again turned it to high. The seat warmed up nicely but did not get nearly as hot as it did before. Leaving it on high was fine for the whole ride.

Now I don't know if the seat is malfunctioning or if perhaps there's a thermostat in the seat that regulates the output. Has any one else with a heated Hammock experienced anything like this?

I put the CVO heated seat (same seat I think) on my TK and it never gets so hot you have to turn it down but I have friends that have CVO's that you have to turn them to low in a few minutes.. Sorry I can't answer your question but wanted you to know you are not alone.. Works fine but never gets uncomfortable hot

this is my very unscientific answer, it seems like when I use my seat if I am going at higher speed the seat will get hotter, maybe more juice to it? I doubt there is any thermostat in the seat.

I've never had a problem with mine. If it's cold, I'll turn it up on high to get it warm then turn it to low and leave it there.
