Hot Bike !
I have a 2016 RGU and it's a great bike. However, it throws a LOT of heat on my right leg. I know that a Stage One might help, but not in the budget right now. So, I know everyone here seems to like Captain Itch products, but does the crotch cooler make a noticeable difference ? And do you take the plastic heat shields off when using the crotch cooler or just put the crotch cooler over the heat shields ? I'd just like to make it a little more comfortable, I know it will always be somewhat hot.

Removing the plastic ones will let our product lay down better and that is how we designed it to work.. It will definitely help you with the amount of heat that you feel . If anyone ever has a question about our products just email or give us a call. Thank you Itch .

I know it wasn't in my budget to buy a headpipe just after buying a new bike but as soon as it hit 85, I was not enjoying the ride.
I bit the bullet and bought a headpipe. It was easy to install. A couple of hours to pull it all off and about 3 to re-install.
I can't say it changed it by x number of degrees but it is in the low 90's now and I am still enjoying the ride.
All you need is a couple of evenings and 3 wrenches. Well worth it.

Try fuel motto's ceramic coated steel plasma header. The ceramic holds the heat in tremendously. It's also catless, and utilizes the stock heat shields.

I run this on mine, and feel more heat on my left side than my right, now. Probably the best upgrade I've ever done on a motorcycle.
