Default Clearview vs HD vs Klocwerks

After testing hundreds of dollars on windscreens I settled on the Klockwerks 5 inch windshield. The Klockwerxs gave as much protection at 5 inches as the OEM 10 inch screen, Clearview small screen and HD 10 inch splitter screen. The down force is very apparent with the Klockwerx screen the higher the speed the more stable the bike became unlike all the other screens. This was really apparent on days when I rode open highway with 60mph gusts front and from the sides the bike was very stable. Awesome product. I was told along time ago to buy Klockwerx and I kept buying other brands I don't know why but it cost me so much money now I have a pile of unused screens in the garage.

Default Question About Klockwerks

Thanks for posting about your shield experience.

I have a 7.5 " National Cycles VStream, and have some buffeting at highway speeds. I was thinking about the 8.5" KW, but based on your experience with the 5", I might be able to go with 6.5" (which are the sizes available for my 2012 Electroglide).

Any member input would be appreciated. Thanks

No idea what you two are riding, but on my '14 TK I am extremely happy with the 8" Freedom Shields tinted windshield. At 5'10", the 8" puts the top of the windshield at about chin level and has better protection than the stock 10". Two things beyond protection that I like are: 1, It is thicker so it doesn't vibrate. 2, it has no distortion, even where it bends. They will also let you try it and return it if you aren't satisfied, as long as the plastic film is left on during testing.

I too tried the 7.5 HD Windsplitter..It was ok but not real happy. Had a Klockwerks from my 02 but of course the hole pattern changed when I got my 2015 Limited. Sold the 7.5 and rode around again with the stock screen. Picked up the 8" Klockwerks and really notice a difference. Wind noise decrease, radio sound increase. I'm sold on KW.
