Front fender repair - 2014 FLHTK
Not sure if this is the correct section but I'm looking for someone in the Dallas area that does Harley body and paint work. Had a little mishap at the ROT Rally this weekend. Front fender has a half-dollar sized scratch and dent. Harley shop wants $580+tax for a new fender and that's in Vivid Black. I'm interested in other options. I want someone with experience painting stock tins. My Vivid Black fender has the silver pin striping on it. Thanks.

My guess would be that you're gonna have trouble getting a really high quality repair on your original fender for less than the price quoted for a new one.
JMO, but $580 seems pretty decent for a brand new, pre-painted and pinstriped ready-to-mount fender, especially considering that it's a genuine H-D part. Also, a Google or Craigslist search might find one for even less or you might come up with a take-off fender from a big wheel mod for a few hundred bucks.
Anybody on the forum able to help this brother out? I've seen lots of big-front-wheel threads here lately.
If I were doing it, I'd go for a new one - one way or another.
