I change the filter at every oil change.
But, I'm thinking of changing over the the JC Whitney toilet paper roll filter.

Every 5000 miles.K&N oil filter is not designed to last longer.Just easier to install and remove.

Every two changes or so. 6-8K miles Never a problem.
They are designed for much more flow (time) than that of a tiny 3.5 quart motorcycle.

I didn't even think they were still in business. Thought they got absorbed by Pep Boys since they sell the same high quality products.

Well I'll be darned, JC Whitney is still in business, website and everything. And they even sell K&N oil filters. Didn't see the toilet paper cartridge filter, though.

I picked up a PC Racing reusable Oil Filters. Spray it out with brake cleaner and reinstall.

Except for the reusable types... change your oil filter with every oil change.
