'16 Hydraulic Clutch Issues

'16 Hydraulic Clutch Issues
know there have been a couple issues with the '14 and '15 model years but what about the '16s?
With 1000 miles on my '16 RGS I've experienced a few issues but the dealer can't duplicate any issues. Twice pulling up to a red light the clutch didn't fully disengage, the first time I wrote it off as my imagination as it was so slight but the second time was more pronounced. The bike wanted to continue to go. The other day I was pulling out into traffic and the clutch didn't want to fully engage. It slipped, not by much but noticeable. On restart it was fine
Had the dealer complete the 1000 mile service yesterday and they could not duplicate the issues . When I got on the bike to leave I pulled in the clutch after starting in neutral and when I put the bike into 1st you could hear the gnashing of teeth. I immediately shut it off but their excuse was i didn't let the bike settle before trying to put it into gear.
I've been riding bikes and driving manuals a long time, this bike is having clutch problems.

If the clutch doesn't fully disengage, try getting into neutral. Then you can try pumping the clutch lever to see if that makes any difference. Also try to pay attention to where the clutch is engaging (how far the lever is from the grip). If it's engaging close to the grip (or if it starts changing where it's engaging closer to the grip) you might have air in the system. I have one of the early 2014 FLHTKs. Before the first recall, I had one day where the clutch was not working properly... engaging right off the grip. When I took it back to the dealer, they found some air in the line. They bled the system and I didn't have anymore problems. I did have the recalls done (2 recalls) but I never experienced any other problems. That one day where it was not working right, I could pump the clutch lever 50 - 100 times and the clutch would return to normal for a while.
