Default 14 SGS starts and dies within 1-2 seconds?

rode my bike to work, stopped and got gas, rode around the block and parked at work, later I pushed the bike about 2 feet forward without the key fob on me and later I went to ride at lunch break and went to start the bike and it started but died a second later ,kept trying and did the same thing for about 15-20 tries. Called dealer and they said tow it in so I did. That was over 2 weeks ago!

Dealer finally got to looking at it after the first week and pulled out the Power Commander V and said its running again and the Power Commander V took a dump and it happens often so I said OK can I ride it home and deal with the Power Commander V warranty myself and it should be good right? They said it's running lean but will be OK to ride home to park it until I get another Power Commander V in it so I went down and paid the bill and went to start it and it was doing the same crap! Starts and dies after 1-2 seconds. Went Back in to Service Dept at H-D dealer and brought out service advisor and service tech and they wrote down a bunch of codes it threw and said leave it it must not have been the Power Commander V and it could be under warranty and they will let me know! I don't know WTH is wrong with it but i think the ECM is cutting the fuel supply for some reason. At first I thought it had something to do with the security because I moved it without the smart fob on me but I have done that many times and the bike resets the security when the fob is present so I not sure. I didn't hear from them this week so they either did look at it yet or are stumped too! Anyone else face this issue on a Rushmore model yet . I would be open to some opinions of what it might be.

Definitely strange...did some one eff with it while you were working? Check the plug wires at the plugs, & then check the front wire where it contacts under the tank, to make sure its not rubbed completely through & you arent starting it on only one cylinder. After that, check the fuel line to make sure its not kinked and it's flowing. if its throwing codes, chances are its not a simple inexpensive fix.

I don't think it was messed with. We checked out the basics, air, fuel, spark. I thinks the computers are shutting the fuel supply.

Default Problem solved

They put a new ECM in the bike and all seems well again! Anyone else with a Rushmore bike that needed a new ECM?
