Default Boom Stage II fairing speaker 2014 SG

Just putting it out there. I installed the stage I with Amp last year. Did the install myself had the dealer flash. Sounded really good. I wanted a little more so did a lot of research on stage II fairing speakers. Not a lot of good reports on theses speakers. A lot of comments on them clipping Etc. Well I bought the speaker this spring installed them my self had the dealer flash which took them 10 min tops. The stage II sounds excellent in the garage and on the highway. I could not be happier. I have had zero issues. Stage II is louder than stage I and a lot more base. I say if your thinking boom II but are concerned because of the bad reviews I say go for it you will be very happy. Doing the install my self and buying with 20% off I have $ 819 In parts and $ 35.00 for the flash. Just my 2 cents

Lol...Don't waste your money on Boom stuff. Go visit the audio section and save $$$ and get a much better audio system.

I'm thinking he paid 800 for the Boom I setup last year and the Boom II speakers this year after 20% off. Doing the install himself saved him a ton as I think they charge just as much as the parts cost.
It's good to have one on one alone time with the scoot installing yourself.

HD might have the Boom I & II figured out now, just hope the updates to the infotainment don't mess it up.

Enjoy your tunes!

The boom 2 set up is cheaper than some popular set ups in the audio section. Anybody mentions boom and they're quick to jump on it sucks. I got a top-of-the-line speaker and amp set up and let me tell you I'm not convinced it's that great. I admit it could be the Flash,,,,, but after chasing a flash at the dealer 4 times little tired of that crap.

Say what you want about the Boom 1 setup, but I love mine. Sounds great at all speeds and volumes. My wife sometimes ask me to turn it down. I had a Biketronics adapter, Rockfard Fosgate amp and Hogtunes speakers on my '09 Ultra and it was just OK compared to my current setup.

I too do love my boom 1 system and I added boom speakers to the lowers also. It is great sounding but I have nothing else to compare too. I also was thinking maybe go to 2 Hense why I asked the cost of the speakers. I can install them myself.

I first did the Boom stage I. Amp kit was $550.00 and speakers $169 flash for that was $ 45
Don't get me wrong stage one sounded good no doubt about it. I wanted some additional base and stage II does that. Stage II speakers were $ 263. And another flash was $35.00. So if you went straight to stage II the cost is $813. Just my opinion but it sounds great with stage II. I would highly recommend It . Obviously the added gains going from stage I to II is no where near like going from stock to stage I but to me was worth the $ 263 and $35 for the flash. I purchased everything 20% off list and installed my self.
