Default Street Glide to Road Glide

I've done some searches and couldn't find a lot for Rushmore bikes. Has anyone done this or have a parts list..Hell or is wanting to trade fronts from a street with their 15+ roadie?

Not sure if it's an expensive trade or not,, you can buy everything you need at the dealer I'm sure. Then it's likely a bolt on option. (Sorry, doubt you'll find someone with an RG who WANTS to go to a batwing,,, (I went Batwing to RG,, won't go back) And I think MOST Fugly owners feel the same way.

Yup, I highly doubt it to.. if I can do it all myself during this next winter I can slowly piece everything together. I have too much in mine I think to be able to get out of it. All just depends on cost of the parts. Ideally is to find a totaled one and grab parts of it, I plan on staying with charcoal pearl so... I highly doubt ill buy directly from hd paint matched.. could also look into aftermarket inner or outer fairing. Just really want a roadie.

The factory parts book is a good thing to have, plus service manual. It would be helpful for this type of question. You can also go to Ronnies. They list "fairing inner", and "windshield/fairing and headlight assembly" with what looks like all related parts and pricing.

I didn't itemize and add, but quick glance appears parts alone are around $4,000. Then you need to put the time into it to install.

You'll never get that money back when you sell the bike. Might even make it harder to sell. You might be able to sell the parts, but that's a time suck, for what...$1000? Only way I'd think about it, is if the bike went down, and needs those parts replaced anyway. I guess if you were going to bigwheel it with custom plastics might be a reasonable reason to some guys too.

Makes more sense to get another bike.

Besides the obvious parts you also need to do some wiring harness mods and have bike flashed by dealer to have your low beam stay on when you flip to high beam on the daymaker.
Rushmore Road Glides are only bike (I think, 99% sure... ok 80% sure...) that run both low and high beam when you have high beam on.

That's what I was thinking. Made a list of what I need to pull and change for a trade. Time to talk to the dealer and see what I can find out

I was going to do this mod also. Spent many hours looking up parts etc... Talked to my mech at the dealer. Said it would be a lot of work and a lot of $. I traded my 15 SGS for a 15 RGS two months ago. Loving every minute of it

I just have see about convincing the other half that this is a good idea. Apparently paying for a wedding is more important
