The stock bars are not too bad, but I miss my apes. I have the HD fat apes on order, I should have them on Tuesday.
That said, it took a little to get used to the stock bars, but once I did, I do faint them comfortable. At first I rolled them forward, but the wrist angle got to be a little painful for me on longer rides.

It's simple enough, you need to remove the switch and housing, the riser clamps, and then pull the bars ( leaving all wires and lines attached. There is a metal dowell in the riser that needs to be pulled out to give full range of movement. It pulls out family easy with some vice grips. Once it's out adjustment is made bu loosing the clam and rolling them up or down until you find the position you like.
Once you find the ideal position, the handle bar switches need loosened and moved to a position you like. If you don't do this, the levers are kind of a reach downward.

For you guys that rolled the stock bars forward......what was the reason? Aesthetic ? Or were you getting pain in your upper back and shoulders. I am finding with my long arms I am getting some pain in my upper back and shoulders. Just wondering if this could help me at all.
