Dude......I think the seat makers owe you a freebie . You have kept a lot of people working. No seriously I have the same problem. 220lbs and over 6ft with a skinny bony *** and after 120 miles I am looking for a good rest. I have a sundowner 2-up and while it feels softer it is no better for me than the stock one.

What you are experiencing is 'Hot' spots - This is what Corbin avoids - HOWEVER a Corbin MUST fit YOU to work correctly - Your a Big guy, I am a Small Guy - In MY Opinion - the best/only way to get a set to fit you is to have one custom built to YOUR *** - TOO bad your so far from Corbin in Hollister, CA - They have a ride in appointment where you show up with your bike at 0800 - meet you seat builder - talk about what you want - then the magic begins - you spend all day there getting a saddle built to fit YOU - at the end of the day, you ride out with a saddle made to YOUR legs and butt... Try to find a saddle maker close enough to you where this can be done... doing it thru the mail - will add more used saddles in your garage...
Good luck

I found myself in the seat dilemma recently. My wife and I rode to Laughlin 2 weeks ago on the stock RGS seat, about 400 miles. We left on Wednesday and stopped in Ridgecrest, CA and my wife was already complaining her butt was falling asleep. Then we rode from Ridgecrest to Laughlin, we had to make several unplanned stops along the way.
So we get there and she tells me, she probably wont be able to make the ride back on this seat. First night we were there, found the Mustang trailer. Tried out the Wide Touring seat and felt pretty good to me. Drug the OL over to check it out and she instantly fell for the seat, much wider and more firm for her.
Got the seat put on and Mustang shipped my stock one home. The ride home was much better, heard 0 complaints from the back and we were able to ride a lot farther than on the stocker. My only complaint is it sits me a little higher than the stock seat, but I can go more than 200 miles without feeling like I am sitting on the ole balloon knot.
Good luck finding a new one Bunker.

Probably the best seat out there is the Russel Day Long...but it IS spendy...and yes it IS ugly. One of the few seats out that I never hear a complaint about (as far as being comfortable). If I were to choose between looks and my tush being happy, it's a no brainer!
