On not using Syn3 in the primary of the 2014 and newer bikes there is a consensus.

No, there isn't. I trust the guys that wrote the service manual on the engine they make.

My owners manual, page 149 says to use Formula+.
I guess you're having good luck with the Syn3 so stick with it.

Yeah, I have been having good luck.

The service manual lists Formula+ unless you want to move to synthetic, then it recommends Syn 3.

Honestly, in a splash system I don't think it makes all that much of a difference.

Put whatever you want in it. The CVO's come factory fill with syn 3. No harm no foul. I use the Amsoil Majik Fluid in all three holes. (EVO)Years ago we ran Penzoil aircraft oil with a cup of gear oil in the engine, then Type F in the primary, (then 10-40) and 80-90 in the gear box.

We used to bring our bikes to an old guy in Louisiana called Campy, and this was his solution and this is what we did... Seemed to work at the time. Not the type F though, that **** would leak out.
