Default 2015 Elctra Glide - CB Antenna

Hi, can anyone tell me which of the connectors on the tour pak is for the CB? Is it the Amphenol or what looks like a standard am/fm coax. Trying to relocate the antenna with the tour pak removed but the cable just doesn't seem right thats in the kit. The CB antenna is currently on the right as you look at the back of the bike.

It's the one that comes from the right side antenna.

It's the Motorola connector. Looks like the coax connector for AM/FM car antenna.

Note: That connector is designed as a 75 Ohm connector. They're using it on a 50 Ohm cable (have been for years, even before Rushmores). Problem with the Rushmores is they moved this connection from the inside bottom of the Tour Pack to the outside of the Tour Pack, between it & the back of the seat, under the Tour Pack backrest flap. When they did this, they didn't make any provision to waterproof this connection (which is NOT WATERPROOF) and corrosion develops in this Motorola connector. If yours is corroded, use emory cloth to remove the white crud (corrosion) from both parts, inside & outside, then treat with dielectric grease before reseating the connector.

Hope this info helps.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the confirmation Hammz, Just didn't seem right that they were using the 75 ohm cable. As you say the cable is not waterproof and I am getting some corrosion, thanks for the tip.

Check your am/fm antenna too, same problem.
