I bet that's the side his charger sits, and it's the high side of the bike, I think it's a good idea.

Mine was located on that side and was too lazy to check the other side to see if there was a better location. It seemed ok there so.....

Makes sense. On my '14 Limited the factory tender plug is under the left side cover. I have a center stand on mine for when I park in the garage so I don't have a high side as the other posted stated.
