Well thanks for the idea about plug. Bought one of

Then I decided to mount it on the side cover

I am going to use this:
Amazon.com: OptiMate CABLE O-20  Weatherproof SAE socket, front panel mount: Automotive Amazon.com: OptiMate CABLE O-20 Weatherproof SAE socket, front panel mount: Automotive

And mount like ACLAZER did under the left side heat deflector. That way it is not an eye-sore IMHO.

I have a 5' extension run up and behind the seat and into the tour pac. Tender makes a USB connector that my wife charges her phone with. I also can plug the charger in without having to bend over(and is the difference between the charger getting plugged in or not depending how cold my garage is, lol)

I like that! Might have to install that on my tour pac.

How do you close the tour-pac once the cable is plugged into the charger?
