Oh yeah, totally different beasts. The Deuce is what it is and is damn good at that. It's my favorite bike for riding with my buddy in the mountains (he has a night train) but sucks for extended periods above 60+ mph when you have to leave the fun back roads.

This Ultra would certainly be the workhorse for longer rides alone and day trips with the wife. Suspect I may even be needing to go to Boston every couple of months for this new job (maybe 600 miles) and it'd be nice to ride it during Spring and Fall if I have the time and take the more scenic route avoiding as much of I-95 as possible.

Put close 100K miles on my 07 UC it was great motorcycle once I modified the crap out of it to my liking, but our 15 Limiteds are awesome bikes aerodynamics , power, handling, braking and most importantly rear cylinder heat management are few of the improvements and didn't have to seriously modify anything.

Absolutely! I had both for a short while... wish I still had the Deuce.

Get a used 2014 or newer under 5k miles for a steal of a deal. Bought mine 2015 at a dealer from a guy that traded up new every year with only 3k miles for about 20k with a year warranty left. I can buy a ESP if i want at some point. Again for us all what we can afford determines what we buy. I knew when i decided to buy that i wanted the latest and greatest i.e. Rushmore. If you can afford the Rushmore than by all means go for it.

I got the 2014 FLHTK while I still had my mod'd 2005 FLHRCI that I'd put 80k miles on, it had carried me through thick and thin. I always said I'd never sell that scoot...but 6 months into the Limited, I hadn't thrown a leg over the RoadKing...sold it and made good money on the sale, threw it on the Limited's loan balance and not long after paid it off.

Go for the Rush' +10...I'd say.

The UC 2012 who is selling it privet party or a dealer, and what mods have been to it ? ?

So far it's about 26 to 1 to get the 2014 Rushmore, because I think they are the better Bike.
I bet the $7K more you will spend for the 14 will be money well spent in the long run.

Wow that is a pretty good deal. Like to get this 2014 for that with an ESP if I can talk them into it.

That 2012 looks to be bone stock apart from some highway pegs. Nothing special. 2014 has the upgraded Boom Nav system (and highway pegs).
