Default Cams

I am looking into adding cams to my 15 Ultra Classic and am interested in the SE 204s or the SE 211s. I know there are "better" aftermarket cams out there but I want to stay with the SE cams.
Would the 204s or the 211s be better in my bike? What are the biggest differences between the two ? Stock 103 air cleaner and jackpot e series 2-1 exhaust with a PV

Personally I wouldn't use the SE 211s, I'm changing out a set of SE 211s in a buddy's bike (2011 RGU 103) for a set of stock 2016 FLHXS cams, the bike never has run good with them in it, plus it's been dyno tuned to no avail. Take it for what it's worth, JMHO though.

Arent the 204 and 211 s a downgrade from your stock cams? Most rushmore guys do the 585 or the 259e cams

I don't they are a down grade , the stock cams are good for low end torque as is the 585 from what I am seeing. I cruise around 3-3500 interstate mostly solo 95% of the time. I can use more mid to high than low to mid.

Thanks , I can't find much at all on the 211s.

I tried the 211 cams with Kompressor heads and 10.5 pistons on my 15 Ultra. They were ok and made decent power, but just not quite what I was looking for.

Why stay with SE, you said your self there's better cams aftermarket? Iv got a 14 limited that runs great in the RPM range you've specified with Andrews 57s and no adverse issues at all.

What tuner are you using ? I tried the 57 in my 2013 with a power vision tuner. I could never get them dialed in.

Crimson there's tons of threads on here about cams and I'd choose either a Andrews 48 or the 57's, not sure why you couldn't dial those in but thats a good cam to go too. The Woods 222's are similar to the SE 204's, they have the same intake closing but the 222's will make a little more hp & tq but cost more as well. Personally I think the auto tune isn't the way to go, I believe in getting your bike dynoed and it's all about the combo you choose. Good luck !!

I agree completely. No matter what you do get it dyno tuned by someone that knows what they are doing.

I personally don't think a cam only swap in a HO Rushmore 103 will get you much. Sure you can move the curve to the right but at the expense of the bottom end. The only way I would do it is with head work. A boost in compression will keep the low end and a mild port with larger valves will keep it pulling longer. Both will boost the tq/hp numbers significantly over just a cam.
