Should have left it stock

There is a big difference in a dude with a six pack doing the work and someone that gets paid well to do it. And does a lot of them. I have watched the work local HD tech does with outrageous bar changes and he gets it right every time. I have also seen many of the go the cheaper routes fail big time. There is a difference.

Well l guess l learned the hard way when l did mine. I saved myself a pile of cash. I learned more about my bike doing it myself and every time l get on it to go for a ride l can pat myself on the back knowing l did it. Would l do it again or help a friend install a set? Dang right l would...and l'm not much for alcohol.

They also extended the wires even though Yafee says No need. But the foreman did not like the rerouting idea. I also had my 15k service done at the same time and they only billed me 4 hours labor for the HandleBar Job. Probably more like a 6 hour job. There was no visible damage to the Twist grip sensor or wiring. Likely had too much tension working thru the bars
It would have been nice if this issue did not present but it did. They fixed it and all is good. I got no beef with my dealer and they are far from being a Bubba Indy Shop
