You can tell the guy with the 6 pack is inexperienced...Us experienced guys start right off with a 12er!!

Well l guess l learned the hard way when l did mine. I saved myself a pile of cash. I learned more about my bike doing it myself and every time l get on it to go for a ride l can pat myself on the back knowing l did it. Would l do it again or help a friend install a set? Dang right l would...and l'm not much for alcohol.

Not sure why I'm even answering this question. But this was and is a reputable Dealer and the only one I have confidence in here in San Diego. I chose which tech I wanted to do the job because I have seen him do many of these Jobs, but usually they use the Twist Grip without the green plug. This time they didn't.
They also extended the wires even though Yafee says No need. But the foreman did not like the rerouting idea. I also had my 15k service done at the same time and they only billed me 4 hours labor for the HandleBar Job. Probably more like a 6 hour job. There was no visible damage to the Twist grip sensor or wiring. Likely had too much tension working thru the bars
It would have been nice if this issue did not present but it did. They fixed it and all is good. I got no beef with my dealer and they are far from being a Bubba Indy Shop
