Default Kickstand Drag

Just traded my 2011 limited for a rushmore 2015 limited.
Took it out for a 200 mile ride today and noticed kickstand seems to drag even on light left turns.
My 2011 never seemed to drag, the boards would scrape before the stand would.
So is the kickstand lower on the new ruhsmores.
Also looking to add some slipons.
Any thoughts on the 4 1/2 vance and hines monster rounds.
Any feedback greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I've dragged my boards before on both side, I don't remember ever dragging the jiffy stand. Are you sure it's going up all the way? Maybe it's bent, or is there an extension on it maybe that sticks out to far?

Congrats on the new ride! Did you you buy the "low" version of the bike? What pressure are you running in the rear shocks (if they are air)? You could get someone to hold the bike upright if you don't have a jack to make sure it is retracting all the way. The only HD that I ever dragged the stand on was my old '05 SEEG which was (factory) lowered an inch from standard, only did it with my wife on the back. Otherwise I never had that problem with any other bike. I recall somebody complaining about something like this before, but can't remember all the details ... maybe something along the lines that they use the same stand for the standard and the low so when parked it has less of a lean to it ... or the stand was bent, I forget.

I drag my kickstand & both floorboards. Also the floor board mounting bracket & exhaust pipe on RH side on my 2011 FLTRX. I went with 13" shock & it didn't make a difference. My buddies 2015 SGS does the same thing. I've replaced the K/S spring twice, it takes a beating from all the dragging. You can always tell who rides hard by looking at there running boards. Check out a CHP's bike. Good luck.

Checked shocks when I got back. Dealer only had 15psi in shocks pumped them up to 30 psi. Will see if its any better. Its not a low.

That doesn't affect ride height.

I know it's a new bike but maybe you got a weak/damaged spring on the jiffy stand? The rubber bumper on the stand should be touching the frame when it's up.

My first thought was the jiffy stand spring too. I lost mine on my '11 and the stand hung down a couple inches lower.

Experiment on the rear shock air pressure. When I ride solo, I run 15 psi, and for 2 up it's 30. That gives a decent ride and no bottoming out.

Please take a look at your kickstand. Make sure the TANG isnt bent. Its that extra piece that sticks out perpendicular to the main kickstand. If it is slightly bent it will drag during turns. I found out the hard way when I dropped my bike and then took it for a ride and all of a sudden the kickstand started to drag. I fixed it by bending it back up towards me and not further out to the ground

If it's not the Low model it takes a lot to drag the jiffy stand unless it's damaged since you have air shocks that sounds regular height Limited and it takes lots of lean to drag anything on these Rushmores.
