Default Outer Primary Cover Question

I purchased my '15 Limited right before Christmas. Love the bike the best I have ever owned. My last bike was a 2000 Classic, great bike in it's own. I did all of my own maintence on that bike after the 1000 mile service at the dealership.

To get to my point when I changed the primary chain oil all I did was remove the inspection cover to refill after draining. This Limited does not have an inspection cover. Does anyone have any idea why they did away with the cover? It was really handy IMHO.

Auto chain tensioner. The inspection cover was for the manual adjustment. No longer "needed" and less "parts" to have to make.

The derby cover is easy, and they make a damn handy funnel that clips on.

I don't know if I'd call the Auto-Tensioner progress...

If you mean it progressively destroys stuff in your primary when it gets too tight, then yeah, maybe.

I would have to agree. I have seen to many " Auto cam chain Tensioners" fail on other bikes. With a manual tensioner you can adjust it, with the auto you just hope it never takes a seat & stops adjusting.
