Default First ride of the season

8th of March Got the bike out of storage (14 Limited) and had the first ride of the season, earliest I can remember here in upstate NY, planning on riding into work in the morning, new tires and rear brake pads installed while she was in storage, got 18,000 out of the originals.

Spring has arrived early, it felt SO good to get out on the bike without the heavy jacket, electric liner, and layers. Just a leather jacket and a nice long ride today was so nice!

I'm so jealous! It's been great weather for this time of year up here, but not riding season yet We are way ahead of last year though and I'm hoping things stay on track for a record early season, but it will still be the start of April before things get rolling (I hope)

I haven't had a month without a ride or two through fall , this winter and near spring. I could ride to work all this week if not raining. The downside of being able to ride early is facing high winds which can be brutal on the interstate. El Nino in Ohio is proving benefitial.

I was admiring all the bikes on the road today. Beautiful weather here in western Ny...I wish there wasn't soo much salt...

Good thing my ride is in Hillside Cycles getting tweaked...

Default First Ride

First ride was actually yesterday but cut short,by family emergency,so today with the forecast for rain and nowhere to be seen got a good 150 miles. 70 degrees in Michigan on March 9th and it was in the low 70s yesterday.

I also got mine out today. It's been nice for awhile but I wanted the salt washed off the roads before I took it out. March 11, that's the earliest I've been out on my bike in over a decade.
I only did 60 miles but everything went and felt great.

Same here in Colorado. Most days are "rideable" now, and have been for weeks.

Weird weather for sure. Saw upper 70's on a ride yesterday!
