Mine failed about a month into owning the bike. I liked the idea of illuminated switches, so used the "opportunity" to change them out. Damned if that 1 didn't fail a couple of months later. They were on back order for quite a while, hopefully fixed the problem. New Castle HD was great about getting me a replacement, just had to wait a month or so for them to come in.

My 2015 is at dealer for this exact problem. It stopped working last year but had to swap out my mods back to stock to bring it in for warranty work. Also stinks up the garage with gas smell, clutch recall and bag recall

Just to close out the thread.. The ODO switch was replaced under warranty today, Due to it sticking (not the button you push, but the push pin that the button pushes).

Just started my own thread about this, i'm having to replace my third switch, first off warranty. each switch is only warrantied for 12 months, unless you have the extended warranty. don't think i should have to pay several thousand dollars for xttended warranty because of bad design.
I live in pacific north wet, and ride year around, i guess i will have to stop riding it in the rain, and ride my BMW...

I just changed grips on my bike. When closing up the switch packs afterwards, I thought of adding a small bead of silicone to each, but didn't. Now I think maybe I should have and maybe still will on a rainy weekend day.

I have had my 2015 Ultra Limited 1 year now. I wash my bike the 'wrong way' by aiming water pretty anywhere I please. So far no problems at all . . . I even have an exposed air cleaner w/no sock on it . . . Its been throw riding in the rain, rain the driveway and idiot owner point water all sorts of places he shouldn't and still no failure. Not even close . . . it cranks and runs with all of the switches working as they should . . .

Am I just lucky? I don't think so . . . but who knows . . .

Reverse Bitching,

Mark!

Thanks to the OP and all who reported their switch failures. My 2016 had the switch go bad after getting caught in some rain. Fortunately the 1K service is due. Don't know How I'll keep it dry on rides, going forward however.

Called dealer today, since i got the lighted switches from them, they are going to replace left switch pack under warranty, even tho warranty is up, said original lighted switches were faulty, and have been updated
