Default 1k service

I decided to do the 1k service instead of dealer charging 350 for a oil change. Picked up all fluids, filter, and o rings. Did the oil and transmission but noticed parts guy only gave me 1 qt for the primary which takes 38 ounces question is could i mix the redline primary with 6 ounces of redline 20w50 oil ?

I buy 3 quarts at a time for two primary oil changes and fill to a level not a measured quantity.

Ok I just did my 1k service. The service rep told me and its in the book that you do 1.4 quarts in the primary. how high do you fill the oil in the primary to? there is are level gauges on the tranny and engine oil, but nothing for the primary. I added 1.4 quarts in the primary. I have heard that you should fill it until its just below the derby cover. at 1.4 quarts with the bike standing upright, I was not that high up in the case. I could see oil in the bottom of the case. This one has me curious.

I fill to the bottom of the clutch pack.
That's probably just below the derby opening.

Don't understand why you're trying to re-invent the wheel, manual says 38 oz., put in 38 oz...have done my 5K and 10K, 38 oz., no problem.

Not sure if you can or can't but I wouldn't, go buy another quart of Redline primary, you'll use it at your next service. Maybe just me...
