I am looking to see if anyone knows if it is possible to purchase the Boom Audio wiring kit, without the AMP? I am looking at Harley part number #76000278, but would rather not spend that kind of money for it, but if I could buy the wiring harness, I would be interested.

 

Look at installation instructions for kit on HD website. The installation sheet always lists the separate parts with part numbers. Get number, call your local parts dept and see if available by itself.

 

It looks like the harness for the primary amp is not available separately.

What are you trying to do?

 

The harness in that kit only works with (plugs into) the Boom amplifier. What would you do with it separately?

 

He probably bought a Harley Boom amp second hand and now needs the harness. I have one sitting in a box, but haven't tried selling it. If I did, I'd make sure the buyer knows it would be best as a 2nd or 3rd amp since those have harnesses and installation kits available separately.

 

I haven't purchased anything yet, I like the simplicity of the Harley plug and play system, super easy install. But as far as amps and speakers I am sure I could get more for my money buy purchasing something aftermarket.
