My idea it to fill in the area inside the pinstripes. My tank has the thin double stripe as comes with the Roadkings. My idea is fill in with orange and pinstripe silver. As you can see in the pic, I got the aftermarket bags from a forum member and the pinstripe is a little brighter and don't like up with the side cover. I will make that a little wider in the top front. I am making what I call a CVO StreetKing. (I have a CVO dash and have a lead on a CVO seat.

What are your guys or gals thoughts. I don't want to do a complete paint, just add the orange and silver. Or suggest a different color (pics?)

Also, anyone know what I would use to freshen up the logo on the seat? White sharpie?

 

Couldn't do much with the tank, but here is a rough idea what it'd look like with Harley Orange on the bags, side cover and front fender.



I kinda like it. I used to paint bikes as a hobby. Did probably 20-30 of 'em. That experience...plus my college art degree...makes me believe in the adage, "Sometimes less is more." Putting it on the tank might make it too "busy."

That looks like I want. I was thinking on the tank and fender, since the front fender pinstripes curve up and in, and run back down the center of the fender, I could paint the tand between the pinstripes. Which would only consist of the part between the stripe and the console. I don't think that would be too much. I would have to do the back fender center part also.

 

I think the orange with the black looks sharp!

 

It will match my truck.

The orange looks good, but you need some on the tank too.

 

I think I am going to paint the center part of the fenders and tank between the pinstripes. maybe the center top "indent" of the tourpak. Orange is the new black, or something like that.
