I like the red better than the orange personally , red & black look good together.

I'm kinda partial to red and black, too. I painted my 2005 all black, then added double 1/8" pinstripes and cleared it. I liked the simple, uncluttered look. Added a little extra thing-a-muh-bob shape on the saddlebags shortly afterward. It seemed like it needed something more.

Chrome is the only "color" that goes with black, IMHO.

Red is the only other color that I can think of that wouldn't be totally hideous - but not by much!

Seeing that Harley's official colors are Orange, Black, and white, I'm good with that. Taste is a matter of opinion. The planet is full of plain black Harley's with some chrome, sometimes you just gotta get out of the box.

Gunny your living the life, a nice Glide and i like what you did with the military Slim.

Now this is a very old photo August of 69, i was back from Nam about 3 weeks, but this is a somewhat faded photo of my Orange and black '68 Sportster.

Sorry about the size of the pic, i was trying to enlarge the bike but old Polaroids don't like to be edited.

Love the old school. Thanks for all the input. I think I am going to get some orange construction paper and make cut outs and tape them on my bike and get a visual and listen to the response.

Ah a 68 iron head, if I remember they were 900's back then and had a compression release on the handle bar to help ya kick it. Rode this pan 8 years. Hard to believe that these days VERY few riders have kickstarted a Harley.
