Thats a good idea. My problem is to get the bag and side cover strips to line up. I could use thicker orange metallic stipes and run on top side of the silver on the bags and bottom side of the side covers, then, thin silver metallic strips outlining the orange. hmmmmm
If you use vinyl stripes and do not have them clear coated over, they can be very prone to damage or peeling. I tried that once and when using a microfiber cloth to clean the bike it lifted the edge of the stripes. I had mine painted on the RGS by a reputable pin stripe guy Dan Kite, he also airbrushed the skull etc on the tank.
Good thought. I have painted a lot of cars and some bikes and still have my equipment. So I could go with the paint for the bigger orange and vinyl silver pinstripes. I did that on the pickup and the vinyl has been on there for 5 years now.
Thanks. I strongly believe that when building a bike you gotta know when to stop. Just because a little of something looks good does not mean a lot of that something is better.
