Default $300 buck + labor clutch perch mistake

I installed aftermarket black levers a couple of weeks ago. Today I tried to install a nylon washer to take up some of the play in the clutch lever. Do not use a rubber mallet as I did. Now I got to wait for the dealer to get an entire clutch master cylinder in, tow the bike in, and eat the labor costs. This all happened because I got in a hurry and figured the nylon washer would give in not the clutch perch lower half.

Thanks for the heads up... Sorry about your crappy luck.

BTW who makes the levers? I was planning on having the stockers powdered to match the perches, but those look spot on

They are Drag Specialties $55 bucks. They come with nylon washer for the clutch lever. I ran it for a couple of weeks then decided to install the washer.

Sorry dude. If a rubber mallet doesn't solve it, usually duct tape does...who knew. Thanks for sharing the wisdom.

If it can't be fixed with a hammer it's probably electrical

Wow that does suck, everything is about quantity anymore instead of quality.

Could be an opportunity to swap out to chrome master cylinder and hydraulic cylinder if you choose. Seeing you need to get it done anyways, it would be like a three hundred dollar discount, if that could take the situation to a positive.
