I left the ends on the control wires , heated grip plug and just removed the tbw end. This worked for my 11 inch santee and my 12 inch ymb. I also used all lines and wire extentions that hd recommend for their 12 in barsome as I did not like the looks and idea of rerouting the clutch and brake lines. Here are a few pics that might help.

Those ceiling chain cords work best when I did mine - gotta pull & push - just take your time - I did mine in a set of 12" YBB without de-pinning or splicing

I used a 4 ft or so length of small chain I got from Lowes. Depinned the Molex connector but left the other connectors on. I did go with the replacement throttle sensor, eliminates the green plug and they seemed to go through easier.

I never liked soap in the bars so I have used baby powder for many years. It helps a bunch.

A quick way to get string through the bars to pull with; vacuum cleaner. Put the hose up to where you want the string to come out, and just feed it in. It helps to put a knot and a blob of tape on the end.

I pull with brass folded chain; very strong and doesn't hang up. Works great for house wiring, too, where you need some weight to it. I also made a backup tether for the tour pack lid from it, in case the reel breaks.

Over the years I've done just about every job there is on a Harley, right down to split cases and rebuilding the tranny and I gotta say the biggest pain in the *** job I've ever done was internally wiring the bars on my current ride. Only ended up taking me a weekend, but I'll never do it again. It's easily worth whatever the stealer will charge.

I de-pinned the TBW connector already, but I didn't de-pin the small 4 wire connectors for the left and right hand controls. I've tried 4 times to pull them through. the first 2 times using string, and the string broke. The second 2 times using safety wire, and the safety wire just pulled out of the tape I had wrapped around it. The dude on the video I saw on Youtube didn't have to de-pin them, he was able to pull them through. I'm thinking there must be some extra slag in my bars from the welding.

Have any of you guys had any problems pulling those small 4 wire connectors through the peak of Mayhem Baggers/Monkey Bars style bars? I'm, thinking there's no way in hell that the connector is going to make the turn around the peak of the bars.

This isn't my first time internally wiring ape hangers. 6 months ago, I did the same job on 14" apes on my 07 RK. But those bars didn't have the peak that the Monkey Bars style has.

I'm thinking I need to de-pin the small connectors, run them through, and re-pin them. The problem is I can't figure out how to de-pin these small connectors.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I used weed eater string. It was a complete pita.. Had to wire heated grips as well. Use some electricians grease.. I did the wild 1 reapers
