Default Airflow with lowers

My dad looked at my bike the other day and noticed the lowers, kept rambling on about the airflow being too restricted to the intake with lowes on?

But made me think, is it restricted with leaving the flap open?

15 RGS with fairing factory lowers.

Actually somebody posted a while back about the bike actually running cooler with the lowers in using, dare i say it, actual temp reading with the infer-red thermometer iirc. I have had my 14 sg with lowers on since day one of ownership. Rode across the country on it, 5400 miles in 9 days, with no issues at all other then rain 4 out of 5 days. When it rains I closed the lowers but otherwise i roll with them open unless its cold out. It will be fine. Enjoy it and dont over think it.

Bike runs cooler with lowers for me. Installed them about 6 months ago. Love them. the added storage is nice, bike runs cooler, looks better, and rain protection is better.

my air vents are always open unless raining or below 40. then I close them for my comfort.
