Question J & S Jack

Installing pipes on a friends bike today and had trouble with jack. Jack would only go up so far and wouldn't raise any further. So we put the safety devices down and lowered. Spent a few hours putting headpipe on. Started to raise Jack to let down, would not go up at all. Bike stuck on Jack. Finally after spending about 30 minutes opening and closing the valve, the Jack finally raised enough to get safety devices up and lowered the bike. Has anybody else had any trouble with their jacks? Jack is just over a year old. May have to call J & S Monday.

I would definitely call them. I have read a few posts by others who had issues with the bottle jack and J&S made it right. One of the reasons I decided to buy one myself.

No, I have had mine for nine years with no issues. I would just replace the bottle jack.

I had a leaking bottle jack. Called & simply asked where I could get one or order one from them, but they asked a few questions and said one is going in the mail to me - at no charge.

I think the bottle is only warranted a year?

I had a bad bottle jack on mine a few years back. Contacted them and they sent a replacement bottle jack in a couple of days. N/C... Good company to deal with in my opinion..
